IT'S ALIVE. NECROMANSTERS IS ALIVE!

I made a silly little card game because I was out of work for a while--and suddenly it's doing NUMBERS on kickstarter! Fully funded in 3 hours and now it's 1409% funded. No, that isn't a typo. It's been absolutely wild to see.

If you hadn't heard of it before, NecroMansters is a 2-4 player card game and deck builder meant to be a spiritual successor to Inscryption. There's all kinds of ghouls, creeps, critters, and spooky boos. Over 140 cards, all with unique illustrations and flavor text. This has been a DELIGHT to design and illustrate from start to finish, but I'm even more thrilled about the reception its had during demos at Origins this past week and on Kickstarter.

This game has all kinds of goobie woobies you guys would just adore!

Necromansters is like a card battle game--but instead of playing one card to play a monster, you build up a stack of cards to build your own customized creation!

Then you can add special Manster cards on top of that stack to give your creation a "face" and a huge boost to stats.

So in the original Kickstarter you said that there were four more teams to be revealed through stretch goals, but with the second Kickstarter, you only released one of them, so can you show us who the remaining three teams / six characters were going to be?

Things are quite a bit different now--in the outdated kickstarter, each team was literally just a set of two cosmetic cards included in the planned expansions of 24 cards total. This was just an expansion to what was, at the time, a board game. Now, each team comes with its own 35 card deck!! so while there are other characters loosely planned, there will be a lot more work that goes into their respective 35 card decks. Expect more in the coming years as the game develops. So far all we can say is that there are two 35-40 card expansions ready for preorder along with the whopping 140 card core set, with smaller expansions in mind.

@AnyGreenDeath So what you’re saying is there are six character / slabs, but two are planned for the next expansion while the remaining four won’t make it in, and you aren’t going to reveal any of them?

The core set comes with 4 teams of two characters each--8 characters total. Team Mythic expansion comes with 2 more characters. There are more characters planned, but I have no reason to reveal them until far into the future when those cards are being worked on. With the current content planned, we will be releasing new things until next summer. There is no cut content. The stretch goals from the old Kickstarter campaign two years ago were just possible expansions, and now I have new plans with a new publisher.
